Moreirense have moved off the bottom of the Primeira Liga table with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Pacos de Ferreira.
Iuri Medeiros opened the scoring for the home side in the 22nd minute, handing his side a one-goal lead going into half time in an opening period which saw few chances created.
The second half saw a flurry of yellow cards shown, as Pacos' Joao Gois and Pele had their names taken, adding to Miguel Vieira's first-half booking, while Moreirense's Rafael Martins also saw his name go into the referee's notebook.
Pacos manager Carlos Barbosa introduced on-loan Porto forward Roniel in the 77th minute as his side searched for an equaliser.
However, it was Moreirense who found the net again as Rodrigo Battaglia wrapped up the three points in the 89th minute.
Miguel Leal's side move up to 15th in the table with the victory.
