Motherwell were unable to take advantage against the 10 men of Kilmarnock as they played out a 1-1 draw in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon - although the point takes them out of the relegation zone.
Kilmarnock took the lead on 20 minutes when Tope Obadeyi slammed a left-footed effort into the top corner, after Scott McDonald saw a shot saved down the other end.
However, the visitors were reduced to 10 men before the break when Darryl Westlake was given two yellow cards inside the final few minutes of the half.
The 10 men of Kilmarnock were unable to see out the half with the lead and it was McDonald who restored parity when he converted into the bottom corner from close range.
Former Liverpool youngster Nathan Eccleston went close after the hour mark for Kilmarnock, but his effort flew just wide of the post.
Motherwell's inability to grab a winner against the 10 men leaves them just a point above the drop zone.
