NAC Breda emerged victors from a seven-goal thriller with FC Utrecht this evening to climb out of the Eredivisie drop zone.
Goals from Kenny van der Weg and Mats Seuntjens secured Breda the points after the hosts had twice cancelled out Erik Falkenburg strikes.
Rubio Rubin's late reply ensured a dramatic finale at the Stadion Galgenwaard, but Breda hung on for a valuable 4-3 win in their survival battle.
Falkenburg put the visitors ahead on 32 minutes, only for Edouard Duplan to equalise for Utrecht with his third in as many games two minutes later.
Breda were back ahead four minutes into the second half as Falkenburg took his tally to five for the season, but Utrecht again pegged them back when Gevero Markiet finished tidily following a pass from Yassine Ayoub.
The relegation-threatened side finally had breathing space when Van der Weg and Seuntjens each notched in the space of nine minutes and, although Rubin gave them a late scare, Breda held out for a second straight win.
