Nantes striker Filip Djordjevic has fired a warning shot to AS Monaco ahead of their meeting after the international break.
Both sides were promoted from Ligue 2 last term and have made superb starts to the new Ligue 1 campaign, although the principality outfit spent £130m on transfers during the course of the summer.
Fourth-place Nantes sit three points behind Monaco in the French top tier, but Djordjevic is already eyeing up a higher league position.
"I am having a lucky spell and making the most of my chances," Djordjevic told the media.
"Now we'll have some time to recover as there is an international break coming up, then we have Monaco at home next.
"We'll try to leapfrog them into third place."
Djordjevic has eight goals in Ligue 1 this season.
