Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that the Italian club have approached Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas regarding a possible move to Serie A.
The club, who are in the hunt for a new boss following Walter Mazzarri's departure, are keen on the services of Villas-Boas, who narrowly missed out on a Champions League place with Spurs this season.
When De Laurentiis was asked by Portuguese paper DN if an approach had been made, the Napoli chief said: "Yes. There is a very tempting argument to hire a young coach here."
Villas-Boas arrived at Tottenham last summer under pressure to deliver following his unsuccessful brief stint at Chelsea.
