Big-spending Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala are reportedly keen on signing Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Anzhi would be prepared to activate the €31m (£25.6m) release clause in the Argentine's contract and triple his wages to €6.5m (€5.4m) a year, Italian daily Il Mattino reports.
However, any chance of a move could fall through if Anzhi fail to make next season's Champions League.
Italian agent Peppino Tirri said: "Anzhi must decide whether or not it will make the Champions League.
"Certainly the desire to do well is there, and Lavezzi is a player that we all consider a top player."
Lavezzi, 31, has also been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool, Juventus and AC Milan.
