Edinson Cavani has insisted that he wants to play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Paris Saint-Germain next season.
It had been suggested that the 26-year-old's move from Napoli to the French champions that was completed on Tuesday would signal the end of Ibrahimovic's career with the Ligue 1 giants.
However, Cavani told reporters at his official unveiling on Tuesday that it would be "a pleasure to play alongside" the Swedish international.
"Ibra is world class. It is a pleasure to play alongside him to try to win titles," he said.
"I know many players in the team: El Pocho (Ezequiel Lavezzi), [Javier] Pastore from Palermo, Diego Lugano from Uruguay. I am familiar with Ligue 1, I like it and I am looking forward to playing here.
"My message to the fans and the city is that I want to win and complete all of our objectives. I want to learn French. It goes beyond just needing it to play football. It will benefit me."
Cavani departs Napoli having scored 104 goals in 138 games.
