Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that he turned down a €55m (£45m) offer for Edinson Cavani in the summer.
The Italian has not divulged which club made the offer for the Uruguayan striker, however.
"Last summer I was offered €55m (£45m) for Cavani and I decided not to sell him," De Laurentiis told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Instead, I gave him a new contract by offering him some important money. Then in September, we sat down and decided on his release clause.
"If someone wants him now, they'll have to give me €63m (£51.5m)."
Cavani's current contract with Napoli lasts until June 2017.
