Netherlands midfielder Wesley Sneijder has insisted that Danny Blind must remain in charge of the national team, despite failing to guide them to the Euro 2016 finals.
Holland were condemned to fourth place in qualifying Group A following their 3-2 defeat to the Czech Republic, but Sneijder was quick to dub the campaign a "collective failure".
He told reporters: "I am empty inside. Both physically and mentally. If you know you should win this game, you can not just give away through these types of errors.
"Blind must remain. This is not down to him, It is a collective failure. It's up to the players to make it happen and we did not. I will not stop playing for Netherlands, I still feel very fit."
It is the first time that Netherlands have failed to made it to the finals of a European Championship since 1984.
