Netherlands boss Danny Blind has revealed his satisfaction at his team's two recent friendly wins over Poland and Austria.
The Dutch national team surprisingly failed to qualify for Euro 2016 after finishing fourth behind Czech Republic, Iceland and Turkey in their group.
However, Blind's team have beaten Poland and Austria in their last two friendlies, and Blind has said that there are plenty of positives to be taken from their latest round of matches.
"As a team we had more variety and were less predictable. We started to see it against Poland. We attack and defend together. The variation, especially down the wings with [Quincy] Promes and [Steven] Berghuis is another difference from the Euro qualifiers," Blind told reporters.
"Promes played as I see him do in Russia on a weekly basis. I haven't seen that with the national team before, but now I do. I'm glad we played two good games against pretty good opponents. We end with a nice feeling and don't meet up again until August."
Netherlands have failed to qualify for the European Championships for the first time since 1984.
