Netherlands striker Robin van Persie has praised manager Louis van Gaal for guiding the team to a 5-1 victory over Spain.
The 30-year-old found the net twice in the rout against the current World Cup holders, but the Manchester United player says that all credit must go to the manager.
"This is definitely down to him," Van Persie is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "If you see how he prepared us, and how he predicted the game would go, and you see how it went - unbelievable. For the whole Netherlands, this is a dream come true."
Arjen Robben bagged a double in the memorable Dutch win, while Stefan de Vrij also got his name on the scoresheet.
