Strikes from Diego Fagundez and Juan Agudelo helped New England Revolution overcome Orlando City 3-0 in their MLS fixture.
The game started slowly as an even share of possession failed to produce any meaningful chances in the opening 10 minutes.
However, the home side finally came close to breaking the deadlock with their first real chance, as Chris Tierney's driven cross to Charlie Davies was directed over from close range.
The game then opened up for New England as they continued to pile pressure on their visitors. They were finally rewarded two minutes from half time when Fagundez's left-footed shot found the bottom corner of the net.
The host's continued to push forward after the break and nearly doubled their lead when Tierney's shot from the edge of the box was saved by Tally Hall.
Substitute Agudelo secured the three points for New England with a close-range finish in the 84th minute before Tierney struck in injury time to complete the scoreline.
