Newcastle United are leading Norwich City 3-2 at half time in Sunday's Premier League clash at St James' Park.
In an exciting and frantic first half, the hosts broke the deadlock just before the quarter-hour mark when Moussa Sissoko drifted inside and played in Georginio Wijnaldum, who duly rifled low past goalkeeper John Ruddy.
Robbie Brady came within a whisker of pulling the Canaries level when his 30-yard strike cannoned off the post in the 17th minute, but they only had to wait three more minutes for Dieumerci Mbokani to volley home from Martin Olsson's cross and re-establish parity.
Wijnaldum put Steve McClaren's charges back in front 26 minutes in by heading home another excellent Sissoko delivery, before Ayoze Perez finished off an initially blocked effort for his side's third.
It took just one minute for Norwich to get back within a goal, however, as Olsson's pinpoint cross from the right was met by a volley from the unmarked Nathan Redmond.
