Newcastle United caretaker manager John Carver missed the chance to press his claims for the permanent job as Burnley earned a point in a dramatic 3-3 draw.
Steven Taylor headed Newcastle into an early draw, but the lead didn't last long as Paul Dummett's mistimed header into his own net gifted Burnley an equaliser.
Burnley would equaliser twice more to ensure they left St James' Park with a point as Danny Ings cancelled out Jack Colback's strike, before George Boyd made it 3-3 late on after Moussa Sissoko had put Newcastle ahead again.

"They are very well organised, difficult to break down, they've got good energy and the manager has done a fantastic job. I've seen what Sean has done with the team and it's going to be a tough challenge without a shadow of a doubt," Carver told reporters.
