Newcastle United midfielder Vurnon Anita has admitted that the squad is "very disappointed" by their defeat to Liverpool.
The Magpies suffered their fifth consecutive loss in the Premier League on Monday as they were beaten 2-0 at Anfield.
However, Anita believes that Newcastle's performance was good enough to see them come away from the match with at least a point.
"Everyone is very disappointed, of course," he told the club's official website. "The performance was better than against Sunderland. We showed more fight and were much better on the ball. I think we deserved a bit more.
"We need to get something out of the last six games. They are all finals for us and we need to get points. It's very important to stop this run as soon as possible. As players you always want to win, and if you lose it is a bad feeling. We have to keep fighting, to stick together and keep going."
Newcastle are back in action on Sunday when they host Tottenham Hotspur in the league.
