Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has admitted that he was "disappointed" by his side's draw with arch-rivals Sunderland on Sunday.
The Magpies ended a run of six consecutive defeats in the Tyne-Wear derby with a 1-1 draw at St James' Park, although the point did little for the survival hopes of either club.
Newcastle remain three points adrift of safety after the result, but while being disappointed, Ashley insists that the scoreline was not a disastrous one for his side either.
"It's disappointing because I personally want to win every game for Newcastle United and it really doesn't matter who they are playing," he told reporters.
"It doesn't matter if it's a friendly, doesn't matter what it is, but yesterday I wanted us to win, so I'm a little disappointed. But it's not a disaster."
Ashley also declared his commitment to the club, insisting that he will stick with them even if they are relegated.
