Remy Cabella has revealed that he is finally starting to feel more comfortable with the physical challenge of playing in the Premier League.
The Frenchman has shown glimpses of his best form under caretaker manager John Carver in recent weeks, and he believes that extra strength training is helping his progress.
"I have gained eight pounds of muscle mass since I came to Newcastle," Cabella told reporters. "I feel much better because when I first arrived I used to get knocked over more easily.
"I do bodybuilding from time to time at the club and also alone at home. I've needed several months to get used to it all and I still need more time but know I will succeed.
"A lot of people in France wondered why I joined Newcastle but I never had any doubts. I knew I would need time to be successful."
