Newcastle United pair Fabricio Collocini and Tim Krul have signed new long-term contracts with the club.
Collocini's has been in talks over a new deal for a while and has now finally put pen to paper on a four-year contract at the Sports Direct Arena.
Goalkeeper Krul has enjoyed a fine season on Tyneside, so much so that he has been linked with a switch to Tottenham Hotspur.
However the Dutchman has muted any speculation regarding a move away by signing a five-year deal with the Magpies.
"Sometimes the most important players are the players you have already, and these guys have both got the chance of player of the year at this club," said manager Alan Pardew.
"They've been absolutely terrific and deserve their new contracts."
The news will come as a timely boost for Newcastle ahead of their Tyne-Wear derby fixture with Sunderland tomorrow.
