Newcastle United skipper Fabricio Coloccini has praised the attitude and form of striker Ayoze Perez after his impressive start to life in the Premier League.
The Spaniard netted his third goal in his last three games for the Magpies in their 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion to continue their revival under Alan Pardew in recent weeks.
Coloccini feels that Perez's goalscoring form is just reward for the hard work he has put in at the training ground since his move to the club in the summer from Tenerife.
He told reporters: "His goal was top class - it was a great finish. Ayo has a very good attitude, wants to keep learning and be the best and he has done very well so far.
"Things like this will help him to improve. I am so pleased for Ayo because he works hard.
"He is only young and is still learning, but he works so hard, so when things go well it is nice because he deserves it."
The Magpies are eighth in the Premier League following their win over the Baggies.
