Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has offered his support to banned manager Alan Pardew and said that as far as the club are concerned the issue is over.
Pardew will sit out the next four games with a stadium ban, starting against Fulham on Saturday, before completing his seven-game punishment with a three-match touchline ban.
"Of course we are behind him," BBC Sport quotes Coloccini as saying. "He's the manager and he is like our teammate. The players and the club support him.
"He knows what he did. It's finished. All of us can do something wrong. After these seven games, he is going to have the chance to show to everyone it was a mistake, and no more than that."
The club also fined the manager £100,000.
