Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling has accepted a Football Association charge of breaking betting rules.
In a short statement, the club confirmed that the 24-year-old has admitted to "multiple breaches" of the regulations that are in place.
"Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling has admitted an FA charge in relation to multiple breaches of Rule E8(b) for misconduct in relation to betting," read the statement. "Gosling has requested a personal hearing, the date of which will be set in due course."
Gosling, who spent part of the ongoing campaign with Championship side Blackpool on a loan basis, signed for Newcastle from Everton in 2010.
