Former Newcastle United midfielder Jonas Gutierrez is reportedly suing the club for the way he was treated during his year-long battle with testicular cancer.
The Argentine is filing a £2m disability discrimination claim against the Magpies, according to The Sun.
Gutierrez returned to Newcastle midway through last season after recovering from the illness, only to be told that he would not be offered a new contract after they avoided relegation on the final day of the campaign.
He previously accused the club of dishonesty over their handling of the situation.
Gutierrez has since signed for Spanish outfit Deportivo La Coruna and played one match for them.
