Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew reportedly feels confident that he has the support from fans in the club's recent power struggle.
The former West Ham United boss is believed to have felt shocked by Joe Kinnear's appointment as director of football, with which comes the authority to have final say on transfers.
It is understood that Pardew will continue to see out his eight-year contract at St James' Park as he is confident that the fans, who have been left baffled by Kinnear's appointment, will support him, according to The Express.
Managing director Derek Llambias quit his post at the club following the appointment of Kinnear.
