Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has urged his side to be prepared for a different Fulham team to the one that lost at Blackburn last weekend.
Martin Jol's side suffered a 3-1 defeat to a ten-man Rovers team at Ewood Park after a run of four games – which included a showdown with Arsenal and at Chelsea – without loss.
As a result, Toon boss Pardew has warned his side of the big threat facing them at Craven Cottage this afternoon.
"I can't answer why they have been inconsistent, because I'm not focussed on all their results and performances," said Pardew.
"But what has been put in front of me is a team that last time out disappointed. And I think we will see a reaction to that. Therefore we need to be ready.
"They have some outstanding players. You look at the squad list and you have to say that they are going to be a big, big threat."
Meanwhile, the Magpies will look to extend their winning start to 2012 to four games.
