Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has revealed that the flight home following their 3-0 defeat to Swansea City on Wednesday night capped off a bad day for the Magpies.
Pardew bemoaned losing two key players to injury, what he felt was a poor refereeing performance by Howard Webb and a "hairy" flight, which added up to a difficult night for the club.
"We lost Hatem Ben Arfa to illness and Papiss Cisse to injury, and the penalty decision and the way the game unfolded, and then we had a really hairy flight, so it wasn't a trip to remember," BBC Sport quotes Pardew as saying.
"At least we are all safe, that's the main thing."
Newcastle are seventh in the Premier League following the result.
