Newcastle United's director of football Joe Kinnear has insisted that manager Alan Pardew will continue to be the "face" of the club.
The 66-year-old, who has been appointed at the club on a three-year deal, has claimed that Pardew will still handle all the media commitments.
"The public face when addressing the supporters via the media will be Alan Pardew," the Shields Gazette quotes Kinnear as saying.
While Pardew will remain as the figurehead, the former West Ham United boss will have to report to Kinnear on any transfer business.
