Ayoze Perez has admitted that he has had an "incredible" week with Newcastle United after scoring the winning goal in their match against Liverpool on Saturday.
The striker came off the bench in the second half to score the only goal in a 1-0 victory which moves Alan Pardew's side up to 11th in the table.
The 21-year-old told the club's website: "I couldn't have asked for more. This week has just been incredible for me on a personal level. But the most important thing is that the team is in a very good shape.
"If I can contribute to that, then brilliant, and I hope it continues for a long time. As a forward, you are always waiting for that sort of opportunity. You have to be clever and intelligent, and when I saw the ball coming in I took a chance where it would go. Thankfully I got it right and was able to score.
"It was a huge moment for me. When the ball hit the back of the net, the noise was something else. To have 50,000 people cheering your goal was a special moment."
Perez also scored the winner in Newcastle's away victory over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
