Former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is reportedly interested in replacing Alan Pardew as the boss of Newcastle United.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce is reportedly interested in taking over as the manager of Newcastle United, if Alan Pardew leaves for Crystal Palace.

Pardew has been heavily linked with a move to the Eagles following the dismissal of Neil Warnock, and it has been reported that a deal is close to being agreed.

According to the Daily Mail, Bruce is keen to take over his boyhood club and he has a good relationship with Newcastle's chief scout Graham Carr.

The report goes on to claim that Tony Pulis, Tim Sherwood and Glenn Hoddle are all in the running for the job.
