Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has denied claims that he head-butted Newcastle United's Mathieu Debuchy during the Premier League clash between the two clubs.
Magpies boss Alan Pardew claims that the former Liverpool man should have been dismissed over the incident, but Shelvey has protested his innocence.
"That's what you think. Nowadays you can't do anything," he told BT Sport when asked whether he had head-butted Debuchy.
"I was trying to move to get out of the way. That's life at the end of the day."
Shelvey netted the Swans' third goal as Michael Laudrup's side saw off their opponents 3-0.
