Patrick Vieira is reportedly out of the running to become Newcastle United's next manager.
The Magpies were understood to be keen on holding talks with the former midfielder over replacing John Carver at St James' Park.
Carver's contract with Newcastle is due to expire this summer, though the club remains unsure whether to offer the 50-year-old a fresh deal after keeping the team in the Premier League.
Vieira, 38, has been in charge of Manchester City's Elite Development Squad since 2013.
However, the Frenchman is "no longer under consideration" by the Newcastle hierarchy to take over at Newcastle, according to Sky Sports News.
Vieira has recently been linked with the managerial vacancy at Fenerbahce.
