Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye will be out of action until February as a result of groin surgery.
The 26-year-old went under the surgeon's knife yesterday in attempt to correct the complaint that had been causing him pain for a number of weeks.
However, Newcastle manager Alan Pardew confirmed to reporters this afternoon that the French international requires a further operation to ensure to that injury is completely healed.
Cabaye, who has made 10 appearances in the Premier League this season, joined the Magpies from Lille in the summer of 2011.
