Former Newcastle United striker Micky Quinn believes that the current crop of players do not care about the club's plight.
The Magpies have lost their last seven matches under head coach John Carver, with the latest coming against Swansea City at St James' Park on Saturday.
Quinn has criticised the players for their performance in the 3-2 reversal against the Swans.
"The players are a disgrace at the moment," Quinn told The Chronicle. "It's a soulless place – it is like a ghost ship right now.
"They are sleepwalking into the Championship with performances like this, and the worst part is they don't seem to give two hoots."
Newcastle are 15th in the Premier League table, five points clear of the bottom three with four games of the season remaining.
