Newcastle United have won five Premier League matches in a row for the first time since April 2012 after beating Queens Park Rangers 1-0 this afternoon.
QPR had an early chance when Bobby Zamora looked to pick out Charlie Austin in the box following good work from Nedum Onouha, but Paul Dummett was there to clear.
Some good play from Newcastle then saw Remy Cabella cut in from the left before firing in a weak shot which was easily dealt with down low by Rob Green.
The hosts played some impressive football throughout the half, but QPR looked threatening on the counter and Charlie Austin blasted wide from a tight angle when through on goal.
Cabella teed up Ryan Taylor for a shot which stung the hands of Green before the full-back fired a free kick into the wall.
However Taylor, who was making his first start for the Magpies since 2012, had to come off after suffering an injury with just 32 minutes played.
After the break, Austin's volleyed strike was comfortably kept out by Newcastle keeper Tim Krul before Green rushed off his line to deny Ayoze Perez at the other end.
Newcastle eventually sealed the win through Moussa Sissoko, who combined with Sammy Ameobi before blasting the ball into the net.
The result leaves Newcastle fourth, while QPR fall to the bottom of the table.
