Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has brushed off speculation that he is in danger of losing his job at St James' Park.
It has been claimed that the 53-year-old has just two games to save his job after failing to guide the Magpies to victory in three Premier League fixtures.
"I am afraid it is part and parcel of the Premier League," Pardew said in this afternoon's press conference. "We have not won a game yet.
"The pressure is on because we were not good enough towards the end of last year but in the short term of this year I think we have played well. I know on the training ground we are working very hard."
Newcastle will face Southampton at St Mary's on Saturday.
