Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has insisted that he has no intention of leaving the club this summer.
The 52-year-old's future has been questioned after the Magpies went six games without a win towards the back end of the Premier League season. He also came under fire after picking up a seven-match ban for headbutting Hull City's David Meyler in March.
However, Pardew has said that he will return to the dugout next season as a better manager.
"In the first half of the season we were very competitive and had form for Europe," Clubcall.com quotes him as saying.
"But in the second half we weren't good enough, I wasn't good enough. I understand that I need to come back better and stronger next year and we will."
Pardew's side ended the season in 10th place.
