Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer feels that Magpies boss Alan Pardew is under "huge pressure" following the club's poor start to the season.
Pardew's side lost their second game of the campaign in a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Southampton yesterday, as the club's supporters called for his removal as manager.
"He is under huge pressure," Shearer told BBC Sport.
The 53-year-old also failed to appear at his post-match press conference with the written media at St Mary's Stadium following his side's defeat.
Newcastle are bottom of the Premier League after four games this season.
