Eddie Howe urges realism over Newcastle United transfer plans

Eddie Howe urges people to be realistic when it comes to Newcastle United's transfer activity in the upcoming January window.

Eddie Howe has urged for realism over Newcastle United's transfer plans in January.

The market opens up in a few days, and since the Magpies were officially taken over they have been linked with a wide variety of players in different positions.

"We cannot be signing everyone. If we signed everyone we have been linked with we would have a squad of 1,000 players," Howe told the press.

"There has to be some realism. Players have to concentrate on their own future, get their own performances right."

Newcastle United will be next in action on December 27, when they host Manchester United in the Premier League.

The Magpies are currently 19th in the table, and they have only won once this season as they sit three points away from safety. body check tags ::
