Hearts are reportedly keen on securing a loan deal for young Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
The 20-year-old, who has yet to make a senior appearance for the Magpies, caught the eye this summer with his heroics between the sticks for England as they claimed victory in the Under-20s World Cup.
Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez has handed Woodman four appearances from the bench during their pre-season campaign, although the youngster has admitted that he is uncertain what his future holds.
According to The Chronicle, Scottish Premiership outfit Hearts have offered to take Woodman on a season-long loan but are awaiting a response from the North-East side.
Bury and Northampton Town of League One are also thought to be keen, but any potential deal for Woodman to exit St James' Park is dependent on a new alternative stopper being found first.
Woodman spent the second half of last season on loan with Hearts' rivals Kilmarnock.
