Newcastle United have agreed a fee with Coventry City for teenage midfielder Gael Bigirimana, according to reports.
Press Association Sport understands Newcastle will pay in the region of £1m for the Burundi-born anchorman.
Bigirimana won the Championship's Apprentice of the Year Award last season after a series of impressive displays.
The 18-year-old made 28 senior appearances for the Sky Blues last season, including 16 Championship starts.
Bigirimana would be Alan Pardew's second signing of the summer after the arrival of Romain Amalfitano from Reims.
