Newcastle United are ready to make a loan bid for Juventus winger Eljero Elia.
Magpies boss Alan Pardew missed out on the 24-year-old over the summer as he chose to join the Serie A side from Hamburg.
However, the Dutchman is now looking for first-team football after an unsettled spell in Italy.
Newcastle would be expected to take the player on loan until the end of the season.
Elia has made only two league starts for Juve this season.
