Newcastle United are reportedly pondering a summer approach for Swansea City defender Ashley Williams.
The Magpies, who are thought to be in the market for a new centre-half, are believed to have placed the 27-year-old on their wishlist, according to Sky Sports News.
While Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is said to be keen on enlisting the services of the defender, reports have claimed that a host of clubs are tracking Williams, who is close to recording 200 appearances for the Swans.
Williams penned a three-year contract extension at the Liberty Stadium in August.
