Newcastle United have reportedly cooled their interest in Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
The Magpies were understood to be deep in discussions with the French club over a summer move for the 27-year-old French international.
However, any potential deal is now off the table due to a lack of progress, according to Sky Sports News.
Gomis scored 18 goals in all competitions last season.
