Newcastle United and Everton have reportedly identified AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie as a potential transfer target.
While the Ivory Coast international is regarded as a key man at San Siro, Milan may be open to parting ways in order to maintain a solid financial footing.
Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United have both previously been linked with the 23-year-old, who has a contract with the Italian outfit until 2022.
However, Tuttosport says that Everton and Newcastle United have now moved ahead of their Premier League rivals in the race for Kessie's signature.
The report adds that the Magpies and Toffees face significant competition from Napoli, who are managed by Kessie's former Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso.
The central midfielder is likely to cost in the region of £25m.
