Newcastle United have reportedly identified Aston Villa winger Trezeguet as a potential transfer target.

While the next window will be pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic, clubs are already beginning to assess their options ahead of the following season.

With Villa fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League, Galatasaray and Besiktas have been linked with an approach for the Egypt international.

According to journalist Manu Lonjon, Newcastle are also prepared to enter the race for the 25-year-old's signature.

During his first campaign in England's top flight, Trezeguet has contributed three goals and one assist from 24 outings.

Despite the interest from the Magpies, Galatasaray are said to be the frontrunners for the wideman.
