Legendary Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas is a January transfer target for Premier League side Newcastle United, according to a report.
The 36-year-old has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons at Porto after bringing an end to his long-running association with Real Madrid in 2015.
Casillas is now into the final six months of his contract at the Estadio do Dragao, with his current deal said to be worth around £5m a year.
According to the Newcastle Chronicle, that sort of wage is well out of the Magpies' price range, but boss Rafael Benitez has still added the experienced keeper to his list of mid-season targets.
Benitez had relied heavily on Rob Elliot between the sticks on his side's return to the Premier League, before recalling Karl Darlow for the last two league outings.
