Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez is still keen to reunite with Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina following a failed approach in the summer, according to a report.
The Spain international remained at the Stadio San Paolo in August, despite strong rumoured interest from the Magpies.
Benitez is still on the lookout for a new keeper, however, and The Sun suggests that Reina - with whom he worked at Liverpool and Napoli - remains a January target.
Newcastle chiefs are said to have given Benitez around £10m to spend on new recruits this month, with a striker also a priority for the remaining months of the campaign.
Napoli are holding out for a fee of £10m for Reina, however, and his hefty wages may also prove a sticking point in negotiations.
