Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan has caught the interest of Newcastle United, according to reports.
The 22-year-old scored 15 goals for the French club last season as they finished sixth in Ligue 1.
His form for Bordeaux has alerted the Magpies, who are ready to offer £10m for the Uruguay international, reports French outlet Sud Quest.
However, that offer will be rejected, the report adds, as Bordeaux will hold out for a higher offer.
Rolan, who has six caps for his country and was part of their Copa America squad this summer, joined Bordeaux from Defensor Sporting in 2013.
