Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Hull City forward Abel Hernandez in the summer.
The 27-year-old has scored eight goals so far this season and is the third top scorer for his side.
According to the Daily Mail, Rafael Benitez is keen to add the Uruguayan international to his attacking force next season.
The report adds that several clubs are keeping tabs on Hernandez, with the player available on a free from July 1.
The former Palermo striker has netted 36 goals during his four seasons with the Tigers.
