Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for both Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion.
Coady has become one of the first names on the teamsheet under Nuno Espirito Santo, with the 24-year-old having been converted into a ball-playing centre-back in the middle of a back three.
However, according to The Metro, that has not stopped both Newcastle and West Brom from considering a move for the former England Under-20 international during the January transfer window.
Both clubs are looking for ways to strengthen their squads in a bid to move away from the Premier League relegation zone, and Coady would prove to be an option in a number of positions in defence and midfield.
Sheffield United were unsuccessful with an offer during the summer, however, and any approach made during January by either top-flight club would likely be rejected regardless of the bid.
Coady has made 27 starts for Wolves in all competitions this season.
