Newcastle United manager Alan Padrew has insisted that he is happy with his squad and has backed the team to match last season's achievements.
Pardew has completed three deals during the close season, bringing in Romain Amalfitano, Gael Birigimana and Curtis Good.
Newcastle have been consistently linked with a move for French international defender Mathieu Debuchy but his club Lille seem intent on keeping the full-back.
Pardew has said that he is still looking to make additions but will be happy to start the season with what he currently has available.
He told BBC Newcastle: "I'm relaxed as these guys did a great job last year and I'd have no problem picking from the group we have now. Whether we get the guys we want in time for the season, I don't know.
"Obviously I want to strengthen, but patience is the key."
Newcastle begin their Premier League campaign with a home match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, August 18.
